As you festively decorate your home during any Season, bring ambiance, tradition and warmth to your family with the natural glow of candles. When choosing candles to burn in your home, carefully take into consideration that not all candles are made the same and some candles may be exposing your family to a toxic and unhealthy environment. According to the American EPA, certain candles when burned release carcinogens (cancer causing agents) such as benzene and toluene into the air and are toxic when inhaled. These toxins will also settle on surfaces in your home. Candles made from paraffin, which is a derivative of petroleum wastes, create both smoke and soot which carry toxic substances. One air quality researcher has stated that soot from paraffin candles contains many of the same toxins produced by burning diesel fuel. Some paraffin candles also have lead core wicks which upon burning emit small particles of lead into the atmosphere
NON-TOXIC AND HEALTHY CANDLES
Upon retiring to bed each evening for weeks, Mark was repeatedly alarmed as he experienced shortness of breath, heart palpitations, extreme weakness, and pressure in his chest. One evening, he was so concerned that he went to the emergency room of the local hospital where he was diagnosed as having panic attacks. Mark could not understand the diagnosis because he did not sense any anxiety or concerns that would precipitate in panic attacks. He left the hospital continuing to question why he was experiencing these symptoms. One evening as Mark retired to bed, he noticed the four wick scented candle burning on his night stand as it normally did, he wondered if there might be any connection between the scented candle and his symptoms. At that point, he put his head closer to the candle and inhaled the smoke to see if he would have a reaction and immediately the symptoms manifested very strongly. Mark and his wife immediately proceeded to rid their home of the candle in their bedroom and others around the house. Mark's alarming physical symptoms disappeared
The rising costs of Health Insurance
Recent United States Census Bureau figures show that approximately 85% of Americans have health insurance and that roughly 60% have employment related health insurance or as individuals and that various government agencies provide health insurance to 25% of Americans.Because medical technology and treatment are advancing at a daily rate the costs associated with health insurance are also rapidly increasing. People in developed countries are living longer which means the population of those countries is aging and a larger group of senior citizens requires more medical care than a younger healthier population. (A similar rise in costs is evident in Social Security in the United States.) These factors cause an increase in the price of health insurance.
How Good Is Your Health?
is a question we must ask ourselves continually if we want to live a healthy life. Your health is your most prized possession. Without good health your whole life suffers. When was the last time you really thought about your health? Last week last month or maybe never it is something we must consider. When it comes to our health we takes a lot of things for granted. We take better care of our cars than we do our own bodies. That car is replaceable your body is not. It is not enough just to eat good foods and exercise anymore. They are important, but clearly not the whole equation. How many stories have we heard of athletes dying suddenly? Athletes are supposed to be the epitome of good health!

What Actually Is Health
Nature works mostly on the principle of thing and no thing. Light is the thing and darkness is the absence of light. Sound is the thing and silence is the absence of sound. Health is the thing, and symptoms and disease are the absence of health. But some time back they got mixed up. Somehow symptoms and disease became the thing, and once you treated away the symptoms and disease, you would be left with health. And yet most people know that health is more than the absence of symptoms and disease. So what does this mean? It means you have to do something other than treat symptoms and disease to be healthy.Let me show you why. If there are shadows or darkness in a room, the only way to get light in the room is by turning on the light. No matter how many ways you can measure and quantify shadows, you cannot sweep them under a rug, cut them out of the room, or invent some chemical to get rid of the shadow. The only thing you can do is turn on the light.

eggs n nutrition
After years of bad press, new studies show that eggs havebeen give a bum rap. If eggs are served without fatty sausage or bacon, no buttery toast, and cooked without fat, eggs are actually quite nutritious and safe. It's easy to boil an egg, or "fry" in a non-stick pan with a cover and aspoon or so of water.Don't rule out the toast. And even a small amount of butter or margarine can help prevent hunger between meals. But be very careful to avoid margarine made with hydrogenated oils or "trans fatty acids".
Career Success
Many companies use our firm’s Abilities & Behavior Forecaster™ pre-employment tests when choosing applicants. To start, a company has high-achievers take the test. Also, underachievers may take the test. Then, we identify how the high-achievers score, so the company can prefer hiring applicants who score like its profitable, productive employees. Intriguing finding: One of the Forecaster™ test’s 18 scales is Optimism. Typically, high-achievers typically score high on the Optimism test scale, while underachievers score moderate or low on Optimism. This repeated finding verifies that optimists achieve greater career success than pessimists.

WOMENS HEALTH AT EVERY AGE
DECADENT HEALTH FOR YOUR DECADE :-In our quest for optimal health, each decade of a woman’s life has its own unique needs and challenges. The following section is organized by age range to give you an overview of preventive health strategies for your specific needs. As we learn to listen to our bodies and adjust to the many changes experienced with each decade, we can gracefully dance through our transitions, savoring the gifts and wisdoms garnered from our journey through time.
The Essentials Your 20s
The 20s are a time of great vitality, energy and enthusiasm. But it is also easy to overdue things. College life usually means a lot of junk food, stress, poor sleep and other unhealthy habits. Many women also start their careers in their 20s, which often goes hand in hand with demanding hours and take-out food. It’s therefore no surprise that the 20s can be a hormonally challenging period for women.
Stay-Healthy Tips
Eat nourishing meals, drink plenty of water and try to get at least eight hours of sleep per night (or at least three nights per week). If you’re taking some form of birth control, you need extra nutritional support. All forms of birth control can deplete the body of vitamins B complex, C and E, calcium, magnesium, selenium and zinc. Use a high-quality multivitamin/mineral formula to cover your bases. The pill, as well as antibiotics and steroids, may destroy good gut flora, resulting in yeast infections. Probiotic supplements, organic yogurt and kefir can restore proper gut flora.
Your 30sThe Essentials
Many women in their 30s are thinking of motherhood or giving birth for the first time. This is therefore the time to truly focus on adopting a healthful diet and balanced lifestyle.
Stay-Healthy Tips
Vitamins A and D are vital for normal reproduction and fertility. Vitamin A–rich foods include butter and cream from grass-fed cows, eggs, liver and cod liver oil. A multimineral supplement is also essential. The herb chaste tree berry (also called vitex) is helpful for balancing hormones and regulating the menstrual cycle. It can take as long as six months to notice results. Natural bioidentical progesterone cream has been effective in not only alleviating PMS, ovarian cysts and polycystic ovarian syndrome, but also supporting fertility. Sold at health food stores and compounding pharmacies, progesterone cream is best used under the guidance of a health care practitioner, who can assess your hormone levels and customize a treatment plan
Your 40s The Essentials
DuYour 60s,70s—and beyondThe EssentialsFrom this decade on, a woman taps into her deep well of wisdom, acquired through 60+ years of life lessons and experience. Many refer to this season of a woman’s life as the ‘Wise Woman’ years. Health-wise, the goal is to remain strong, active and healthy.
Stay-Healthy Tips
As with all the other decades, it is important to commit to a healthful diet and lifestyle during your 60s, 70s and as you age. In addition to probiotics and digestive enzymes, using hydrochloric acid supplements (also called betaine or HCI) is recommended to help digest protein foods. In addition to supporting your digestive system, mineral supplements (try a multimineral formula) and weight-bearing exercise can help keep bones strong or even help reverse some early signs of osteoporosis. Because older women are more susceptible to chronic illnesses, eating antioxidant-rich, liver-loving and nutrient-dense food ensures good health. Chronic inflammation can become a health risk, and fuels many diseases, including arthritis, heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s and diabetes. Natural anti-inflammatory sources include omega-3 fatty acids, found in Alaskan wild salmon and sardines, curcumin (the active ingredient in the spice turmeric) and quercetin, found as a supplement and in red grapes, red and yellow onions, garlic, broccoli and apples. Antioxidant-rich fruits such as blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, cranberries and raspberries are anti-inflammatory and should be a part of the diet.
